I am in my 30s and feel anxious when receiving close supervision, which makes it harder to learn to drive. Ace Driving School suggested to me, Kirsten. Kirsten was a fantastic instructor, especially when she guided me on how to stay mindful on the road. She was discussing her observations while observing and guiding. The technique was helpful for me. Kirsten was also patient and understanding when she had to repeat herself, even as I repeated the same mistakes. Kirsten made my learning possible, which I had considered impossible. Ace's administrative team is also very supportive. I also had 10 lessons with Sean before my third attempt at the test. Sean Conway is also an excellent and patient instructor who will help you feel confident in driving and in keeping track of completed tasks, is always on time, and utilises every minute of the booked classes.
Kirsten and Sean also introduced me to Under The Bonnet Basics when I needed a break from driving during the booked driving classes, which is very helpful to me.

We first used Sean's service when our daughter was in the process of learning
to drive. After using 2 previous companies she just didn't feel comfortable,
we then found Sean. He was amazing for our daughter so we decided to repeat
the process with our Son. He has his first lesson yesterday and he came away
feeling so comfortable, relaxed and safe with Sean. We have definitely made
the right decision to use Seans services. Can't recommend Sean enough

Sean was a terrific patient teacher. The company was very easy to deal with and always helpful and accomodating. We had an excellent experience with Ace driving school and Sean as our instructor. I highly recommend them.

I highly recommend Sean from Cleveland as a driving instructor. Even though he teaches part-time, he comes to every lesson well-prepared and is clearly passionate about helping his students succeed. He explains things clearly and patiently, and made sure I understood exactly what to expect both before and during the driving test—including how the scoring works, what examiners look for, and what situations are common on test routes. His practical tips and calm approach gave me the confidence I needed.
Before finding Sean, I had lots of lessons with a different instructor from My Driving School. She constantly said I needed more time and pushed me to take longer lessons, which I did—but despite all that, she never once gave me any useful advice about the test itself. I often finished lessons feeling more confused and incompetent than before.
On the day of the test, I got just one minor error and one Critical Driving Error (CDE) for failing to give way at a busy two-lane roundabout. That happened because the previous instructor had drilled into me that I should enter the roundabout if a car was already blocking the ones on the right—otherwise, I’d never get a chance and risk being honked at and failing the test. That advice directly led to the CDE as I went in just when the car sitting next to me also went in.
In just two lessons and one mock test with Sean, I learned more than I did from all my time with the other instructor. He genuinely cares about his students and knows how to help you improve. If you’re looking for someone who’s supportive, knowledgeable, and actually helps you get test-ready—go with Sean. I only wish I’d found him sooner.

Sean is extremely thoughtful, compassionate, and creates a welcoming atmosphere while under his tutelage. He is able to rapidly recognize his students skill level and dynamically organize the route and maneuvers around what's best for them in any given session. Additionally, he assists students in creating a clear learning pathway for them to pass their tests. Whilst also providing the holistic background required to be as safe as possible on the roads.

An absolutely amazing instructor, really helped me understand not only the road rules and how to drive but also how cars work and why we need to do things a certain way. Also so incredibly nice and bubbly, I felt very safe with him.

After trying other driving schools we decided to book a man for our daughter’s learning as she wasn’t comfortable with the people previously used. Instantly Sean made our daughter feel comfortable, had her completing driving tasks the other hadn’t even attempted and most of all he was courteous, respectful, kind and a pleasure to learn with. We can’t thank Sean enough for all the work he our into our daughters learning. He is a credit to any business and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Sean to anyone.

We started using Ace Driving School, specifically Sean as our daughter's driving instructor after not feeling comfortable with other driving schools. From the first lesson Sean immediately made our daughter comfortable, he had her doing much more than any instructor did previously and he instilled confidence and courtesy back into her lessons. We can’t thank Sean enough for his professionalism, kindness and lovely manner while teaching our daughter. We would absolutely recommend Ace Driving School and Sean to any parents needing an instructor to teach their kids the correct way to drive. Thank you
