I know this is a long review, but I felt sharing my honest experience was important if it helps anyone in a similar situation find the right instructor. Ajesh doesn't just deliver great lessons—he is genuinely invested in seeing his students succeed, giving you true value for your money every single minute.
I had a bad experience at another driving school 3 years ago that completely put me off driving, but starting fresh with Ajesh at Ace Driving School was the best decision I’ve made. He takes a genuine interest in you as a person and is incredibly encouraging, patient, and cheerful. He has an easygoing nature and doesn't take things too seriously—which immediately puts you at ease. Right from the start, he checked in on my goals and tailored the lesson around them.
Ajesh is also incredible if you're new to driving in Australia or speak English as a second language—he creates a completely low-stress environment where you feel fully understood and confident you can succeed. When I felt nervous, he reassured me not to worry about traffic or the cars behind us, but to just focus on driving and changing gears. That encouragement cleared my mind so I could truly focus.
What truly sets Ajesh apart is how deeply he cares about your individual journey. His teaching style is entirely focused on what you need, making you feel completely seen, supported, and valued. He took the time to gently explain why things are done on the road—bridging theory and practice with so much patience—and even shared key test insights on what examiners look for versus what matters least.
Mind you, this was my first time behind the wheel in 3 years for just a single 2-hour lesson! It was only day one and I still have more lessons to go, but Ajesh’s kind and reassuring manner had me feeling so confident that I was already asking him how and when to book my practical driving test.

I'm an older learner driver so I was so nervous scared and felt so sick from nerves.
Lucky pulled up with a smile and a wave and that made me calmer instantly
I did not know what to expect but Lucky is so calm patient and a downright beautiful human.
My first lesson ended with myself feeling so much more comfortable and belief in myself.

I found Marie's teaching style really abrupt, abrasive and rude. She did not instill confidence in me whilst going for a practice drive before my p's test. From telling me that I need to "get my eyes upgraded" to telling me I would not do well on my test. She also told me to drive slower whilst I was already going 5 km under the speed limit. She made an already stressful situation worse. I do not recommend her as a driving instructor.

Angela is a fantastic driving instructor. I got my manual license on the first attempt and had no errors marked against me at all ! Angela was also completely reliable. Thanks Angela. ACE driving school however could do with better co-ordination. The actual lessons had to be booked through Ace and they often made mistakes with the bookings. These errors were always sorted out before the actual lessons but it was time consuming and annoying for my Pop.

Alessandro is a fantastic man, very polite, charismatic, funny, patient, and extremely good as a driver instructor, he has a lot of experience and he is focus all the time, remarking what you are doing wrong to improve yourself, but the best part is that you never feel his feedback as a complaint or in a bad way, definitely I totally recommend Alessandro Bianco as driver instructor.
